4 sessions, 90 minutes each
Beginning January 2022
Obtaining a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) for a child can often leave parents with more questions about what this means for their family and their child’s future. This group is designed for parents of children under the age of five years who have recently obtained a diagnosis of ASD.
The group aims to provide parents with a foundational framework on areas of growth in which their child may require additional support such as motor, communication, sensory processing and adaptive living. Sessions will allow participants to gain a deeper understanding of their child and how best to support their development using a strength-based approach while also helping foster a sense of community. This group consists of four 90-minute sessions and will be held virtually. The group will be co-facilitated by Megan Nichols, Psy.D. and Zaheeda Virani, Psy.D.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to clinician’s licensure restrictions, this virtual group is only available to permanent residents of the state of Oregon. Participants must be physically located in Oregon during each session.
Cost: $250.00/family (not insurance billable)
