Leah Katz, PhD received her doctorate in clinical psychology with a health emphasis from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology in NY. She completed her internship and postdoctoral training at the Center for Applied Psychology in NY, where she saw children, adolescents, adults, and couples in therapy, and ran several groups. Dr. Katz has trained in various settings including an inpatient hospital, college counseling center, testing center, and outpatient community mental health. She has experience treating a range of disorders including anxiety, depression, ADHD, adjustment disorders, mood disorders, and personality disorders. Leah utilizes an eclectic approach in helping her clients achieve well-being, practicing mostly from cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavioral modalities. Leah has also trained in mindfulness, and attended the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction professional seminar under the direction of Jon Kabat-Zin.
