Megan Nichols
Megan Nichols, PsyD, received a master’s in childhood special education from Hunter College and a doctorate from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, Chicago with a concentration in children and adolescents. Megan specializes in the evaluation and treatment of young children with trauma, developmental differences, including autism spectrum disorder, and challenging behaviors. She approaches both assessment and treatment as a collaboration between the family and herself. She views relationships through multiple lenses with an emphasis on attachment, family systems, and social justice. In therapy, Megan utilizes play and art therapy, sandtray, Collaborative Problem Solving, and Theraplay techniques and collaborates with other providers to provide comprehensive care. She also provides parent/caregiver consultation and partners with parents to create attainable goals that match with their parenting philosophy.
