Sarabeth Casey

LPC

Sarabeth Casey, LPC was born and raised in Oregon, and has lived most of her life in Portland, minus a few years in California and Montana. She graduated from Lewis and Clark College in 2006 with her Master’s degree and an emphasis in working with children, adolescents, and families. She earned her LPC in 2009. As a therapist, she has worked with youth in residential treatment centers, outpatient clinics, in the community providing crisis intervention, schools, and most recently before transitioning to Children’s Program in 2021, in a partial hospital day treatment program specializing in treatment of eating disorders. She has completed a certificate program through PSU for therapy with adoptive and foster families. Sarabeth has special interests in working with clients who have anxiety, eating disorders and are experiencing grief. She uses a trauma-informed framework to gently and inquisitively gather information and help a client gain insight about how past experiences impact current feelings and behaviors. In her spare time, she volunteers with Guide Dogs for the Blind, as well as a local bereavement camp for children. She adopted a “career change” pup through GDB a few years ago, Cookie, who is now a certified therapy dog — she might make an appearance in sessions! Sarabeth enjoys hiking, reading, soccer, travel, and art.
