Joy Jimenez-Lopez

Joy Jimenez-Lopez, MA (she/her) is a third-year doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology PsyD program at Pacific University, specializing in Child and Adolescent Psychology. She has experience providing psychotherapy and conducting psychological evaluations for children, primarily ages 14 and under. She has worked across clinical, research, and school-based settings. Her clinical training includes the use of evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and family-based approaches, including Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). She is fluent in Spanish and has worked with multicultural and linguistically diverse populations, offering accessible, culturally responsive care to a wide range of families.

She is particularly interested in supporting and evaluating children with externalizing challenges and neurodivergent profiles. She also enjoys working with infants and young children, using a developmentally sensitive, engaging, and individualized approach. In her free time, she enjoys archery, nail care and design, watching musicals and plays, singing/karaoke, and exploring new coffee shops.
