Sofia Sytniak, MS

Sofia Sytniak, MS is a pre-doctoral intern completing her degree in Clinical-Community Psychology at the University of Alaska Anchorage. Her training has included providing therapy, psychological assessment, and community-based services across outpatient, school, and community settings. She has experience coordinating care across healthcare, education, child welfare, and community systems to help families navigate services and connect with the support they need. Much of her clinical training has focused on helping youth and families heal from trauma and other significant life challenges. Sofia believes every young person has the capacity to heal when they feel safe and understood. Her approach is collaborative and culturally responsive, creating an affirming space where youth and families from diverse backgrounds feel welcome. Sofia’s clinical interests include supporting youth impacted by trauma, youth with experiences of foster care, youth who identify as LGBTQIA2S+, and youth navigating developmental transitions and identity exploration. She strives to help youth and families recognize their strengths, build confidence, and advocate for their needs both in therapy and in the systems that shape their lives.
