Here at the Children’s Program, we also offer therapeutic services for adults, including couples’ therapy.
Attending therapy together can be beneficial for any couple who wishes to navigate recent or upcoming challenges, such as a career change, family relocation, mental health diagnosis for your child, or other stressors.
Building a successful relationship doesn’t mean that you and your partner will never disagree or get into an argument. But it does require that you cultivate tools to resolve those conflicts in a productive manner.
Couples therapy can help you and your partner improve your interpersonal communication. Conflict is inevitable in all intimate relationships; research consistently shows that it’s how you manage conflict, rather than conflict per se, that impacts relationship satisfaction and well-being.
Several of our clinicians, including Allan Cordova, Ph.D. and Mariko Clark, MA, LPC are currently accepting new clients for couples’ therapy.
If your child is a current client of the Children’s Program, you can ask their clinician to put in a couples’ therapy referral for you.
If you are brand new to our clinic, start by filling out an intake inquiry form, and indicating that you are primarily interested in couples’ therapy.
