Kat Lewis

Practicum Student, M.A

Kat is a fourth-year doctoral student in Pacific University’s Clinical Psychology PsyD program with an emphasis in Child Psychology. She also earned her Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Pacific, and her undergraduate degree is from the University of Arizona. Kat’s prior experience includes conducting school-based evaluations and providing mental health services to elementary, middle, and high schoolers as a counselor with Hillsboro School District. She also has experience working in intensive outpatient and community mental health settings utilizing evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Behavioral Therapy, and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Kat has a strong interest and background in assisting youth with school-based concerns and difficulties, including social-emotional challenges, learning disabilities, and motivational difficulties. Additionally, she also has particular interest in working with and assessing youth with anxiety based and externalizing disorders, as well as gifted and high performing individuals. Clients describe Kat as warm, patient, and caring and appreciate the individualized approach she takes to encourage positive change. In her free time, Kat enjoys going to concerts, reading, watching motorsports, and spending time outside.
