with Jeff Sosne, Ph.D.
The proportion of children in classrooms with identified attention vulnerabilities (such as ADHD) has grown over the last ten years. As a result, there are an increasing number of children on formal education plans (504, IEP, ILP).
This intensive workshop is designed specifically for K-12 educators (including teachers, classroom aides, counselors, school psychologists, behavioral specialists) who want to deepen their understanding of the nature of attention and learn effective strategies to help these students build attention skills. Learn how to go beyond the usual strategies included in IEPs and 504 plans, and interface more effectively with children and parents.
Dr. Sosne has four decades of experience working with families to help their children cultivate attention skills so they can be successful in the classroom and beyond. He also visits schools in the Portland metro area to train educators on how to support children with attention, learning, and behavioral challenges. He has conducted more than 200 classes for parents and children. His Pay Attention to Attention curriculum, with over 40 individual modules, is also available as a self-guided online learning platform.
This workshop is in development. We hope to offer it sometime in the first or second quarter of 2025. Date, time, and location TBA.
