Kendra Almeida

Practicum Student, M.A

Kendra is a pre-doctoral practicum student pursuing a Psy.D. at Pacific University, where she also earned her M.A. in clinical psychology. Having worked in both residential and outpatient settings, Kendra has extensive experience providing behavioral therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Parent Training, to youth and their families. Kendra adopts a compassionate, evidence-based approach to therapy, emphasizing the importance of understanding each child as an individual and within their family context. She believes that a holistic perspective is essential for effective treatment. Kendra has particular interest in working with youth facing mood and anxiety disorders, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, suicidal ideation and self-injurious behaviors, body-focused repetitive behaviors, and exposure to traumatic experiences. In her free time, Kendra enjoys hiking, trying new recipes, and crafting.
